I've lived a bit. Take what you want, sure. But there's nothing emptier than reaching a goal that you prioritized over people who allegedly mattered to you. They're probably not there celebrating with you. Or comforting you if you fail.
Unilateral singleminded action has its place. The problem isn't just fear of action, it's also fear of communicating what you want and why you want it to the people who matter to you. And telling them that they matter too. Maybe even more than your solo goals.
