Origin story
That was exhausting. Trying to do due diligence on the blizzard of blog platforms, having to weigh not just price and performance but all the imagined messages I'm sending by which I choose to adopt or shun. I know trying to anticipate the objections of every imagined audience plus my future self is fruitless. I can repeat the mantra that nobody is paying attention, let alone judging. But I still sometimes succumb. Read another slew of reddit threads, just in case.
This hits particularly hard because I work with people who have to learn how to put their voices out into the world. Sure, make informed decisions about your venue and message, but too much attention to the mental crescendo of what-abouts and what-ifs and you're paralyzed into silence. Or worse, self-censorship. Then you'll never know who your risky ideas could have helped.
